Faith in Action programs have been established based on the proven success of the interfaith volunteer caregiving model.
INTERFAITH: Build partnerships with congregations and social service, health, and civic organizations
VOLUNTEER: Use volunteers from the community and faith congregations. Support them through training & supervision
CAREGIVING: Focus on informal care and help with everyday activities. Build ongoing, one-to- one relationships
LONG TERM ILLNESS & DISABILITY: Serve people with any type of long-term health need such as: Alzheimer's, HIV/AIDS, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, frail/elderly or mental Illness. Be a resource to the mobility-challenged.
HOME-BASED: Provide care where people reside... private home or apartment, nursing home, Hospice, home, group home. Serve the "community at large," not a restricted population
