Faith in Action program was initiated in 1983 with support from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and today there are more than 600 local Faith in Action programs operating in communities across the nation. The Southeast Lake County Faith in Action chapter received its charter in September, 2003. In 2006, SELCFIA obtained designation as a 501c3 charity.
